About the project
We're helping Mitchell Shire Council build this centre.
The new centre will have 4 kindergarten rooms, maternal and child health services, primary health care and allied health services, and multipurpose spaces for the community. It will be able to offer kinder to up to 132 children at a time. It may be able to enrol more kids by spreading sessions throughout the week.
Wallan East Integrated Family and Children’s Centre will be next door to Muyan Primary School and Muyan Primary School Kindergarten (interim name).
Having the school and early childhood centres together may help local children make a smooth transition into primary school and can also make drop-off time simpler for some families.

This project received $9 million. It is part of the Building Blocks Partnership between the Victorian Government and Mitchell Shire Council.

About the project
We helped Mitchell Shire Council plan a new integrated children’s centre in Wallan East. They used the funding to complete detailed designs and progress pre-construction planning.
This project also received funding through an additional Building Blocks Planning Grant.
