The Victorian Government committed $450 million in the 2023–24 State Budget to build and upgrade low-fee Catholic and independent schools across the state. The Building Fund for Non-Government Schools allocated funding for Catholic schools over one grant round.

Non-government schools are an important part of Victoria's education system, with over one-third of Victorian students studying at Catholic or independent schools.

This fund builds on the $522 million allocated between 2016–23 for the Non-Government Schools Capital Fund.

Successful projects

Under the Building Fund for Non-Government Schools – Catholic stream, 65 schools shared in more than $243 million.
As part of an election commitment, the following schools will receive funding in the 2023–24 capital funding program:
