The Australian Government has partnered with the Victorian State Government to build new and expanded early childhood education and care services in communities that need them the most.
Up to 11 projects will share in $63 million through the Australian Government’s Building Early Education Fund. The Victorian Government is investing an additional $107 million to help deliver these projects.
First centres funded
- Cranbourne East Integrated Children’s Centre (interim name) in Cranbourne East
- Early Learning Victoria Dupitjin in Wedderburn
- Early Learning Victoria Garrong in Kings Park
- Early Learning Victoria Murrum in Weir Views
- Early Learning Victoria Nicholson and District (interim name) in Nicholson
- Early Learning Victoria Red Cliffs (interim name) in Red Cliffs
- First Peoples' Early Years Integrated Children's Centre
- Murray Valley Early Learning Centre
- Northern Bay P–12 College Early Learning Centre (interim name) in Corio
More new or expanded services to come.
These new and improved centres are expected to open by 2029. They will provide long day care, kindergarten and pre-prep programs.
This partnership means more families will have access to quality early learning close to home.
