About the project
This is a new early learning and community hub co-located with Dohertys Creek P-9 College. The centre was previously known as Truganina East Early Years Centre while in the planning stage.
The Mainview Boulevard Family Learning Centre provides:
- early education and specialist support services for children
- community learning for adults
- health services for local families
- formal training in early years education and care.
There is also a multipurpose space that can be used for parent groups, playgroups and other community events.
The centre provides a one-stop-shop for developing the potential of local children, supporting their families, and building community bonds.
Funding
As part of the 2017–18 Children's Facilities Capital Program $565,000 was allocated to this project. $650,000 was allocated to this project in the 2016–17 round.
