About the project
We’re building a new secondary school in Clyde North. It will open day one of Term 1 in 2025 and help the growing local population get great education close to home.
In its first year of operation, Wulerrp Secondary College will open to Year 7 students only, and progress by year level thereafter. It will be able to enrol up to 800 students when the first stage of the school is complete. You can find out if you're in the school enrolment zone by entering your address at findmyschool.vic.gov.au.
For enrolment enquiries, please email wulerrp.sc@education.vic.gov.au(opens in a new window).
Your new school’s name
Wulerrp Secondary College was chosen as this new school’s name following community and Traditional Owner group consultation. Wulerrp (pronounced wool-erp) is a Bunurong word meaning tea tree.
We used Clyde North Secondary School as an interim name while the school was being planned, designed, and built.
Principal appointment
Leanne Winfield has been appointed principal of Wulerrp Secondary College. She has worked in several leadership roles across government schools, spanning 30 years. Leanne is passionate about reading, writing and literacy learning, and development for teachers. Her vision is to help create a life-long love of learning in students so they can grow and reach their potential.
Facilities
Once the first stage of the school is complete, it will include:
- an administration and library building
- a learning neighbourhood
- a community hub
- a STEAM building
- hard courts
- carparks
- a temporary sports field.
