About the project

We’re building a new primary school in Clyde North. It will open day one of Term 1 in 2025 and help the growing local population get great education close to home.

The school is open for enrolments for students in Prep to Grade 6. It will be able to enrol up to 900 students when the school is complete. You can find out if you're in the school enrolment zone by entering your address at findmyschool.vic.gov.au.

For enrolment enquiries, please email turrun.ps@education.vic.gov.au(opens in a new window).

Your new school’s name

Turrun Primary School was chosen as this new school’s name following community and Traditional Owner group consultation. Turrun (pronounced turr-run) is a Bunurong word meaning she oak.

We used Clyde North Primary School as an interim name while the school was being planned, designed, and built.

Principal appointment

Kristy Miller has been appointed principal of Turrun Primary School. She is excited to establish a supportive learning environment. Kristy has over 15 years of education experience, including leadership roles. She's committed to student development and fostering a supportive workplace.

Facilities

Once completed, the school will include:

  • an administration and library building
  • 3 learning neighbourhoods
  • a community hub
  • hardcourts
  • a carpark
  • a sports field.

Take a look at how construction is progressing in our video.

Funding

In the 2023–24 State Budget the school received a share of $573.178 million
