[The camera show sailing boats docked near a new building, before cutting to a shot of the boats being sailed by students out on the water.]

[On-screen text: Caitlan, student]
[We see a young student talking to the camera. There’s also a split-screen shot of a label saying ‘Classroom’ on the top and a classroom filled with chairs facing a whiteboard and monitor on the bottom.]
Caitlan: So far, we've been sailing twice, and we had two classes inside the classroom.
[On-screen text: Patrick, student]
[We see another young student talking to the camera. There’s also a shot of a boat sailing on the water.]
Patrick: We came down from Bright on the bus, we got here on the Monday, and we're going to be here until the Friday.
[On-screen text: This brand-new sailing centre opened in 2025. A campus of Newcomb Secondary College.]
[On-screen text: Dave Matthews, Victorian Sailing School]
[We see Dave sitting on an office chair inside a room. It cuts to shots of different angles of the outside of the sailing school building.]
Dave: I'm Dave Matthews, and I’m the leader of the Victorian Sailing School. It's a really purpose-built, well-designed facility for running our programs.
[We see a split-screen shot of different rooms with bunk beds, and then a shot of people walking down a hallway with lots of doors on either side. Then a shot of a dining room with tables, and a ping pong table.
Caitlan: So there's 12 beds in each room, there's a kitchen and a kind of rec room hangout area with ping pong table, TV, chairs, lounge area. And then downstairs is the toilets and bathrooms.
[We see a shot of a person walking up some wooden stairs before cutting to Dave speaking to camera. We then cut to shots of boat equipment.]
Dave: The facility enables us to actually have two schools on site at a time. We can have a school that's staying, and we can also have a school that's traveling from not far. It means that we can offer a lot of programs to schools throughout the state, wherever they come from.
[We see Patrick talking to the camera before cutting to some shots of a teacher speaking to a group of students. They are standing around a sailboat on the beach and everyone is wearing hats and life jackets.]
Patrick: We're learning how to sail and some good communication skills and how to work as a team. A lot of collaboration and teamwork.
[We see some close-up shots of ropes, someone tying a knot. Then we see the boats heading out onto the water.]
Caitlan: And we learned how to rig the boats, set them up and set sail.
[There’s an aerial shot of 3 sailboats in open water, and in the background there’s a large ferry.]
[We see Dave speaking to camera, cut with clips of lots of sailboats in the water.]
Dave: We progress their skills from getting in the boats and learning to control it through to a number of different levels that we can progress them through, depending on how long they're going to be staying. We can also provide access to sailing to students that have lower mobility, or kids from special schools. So we've got a number of different boats. We can run different programs to cater for different age groups and also different levels of ability.
[Aerial footage of a sailboat, then a clip of 3 boats in shallow water, before cutting to a shot of Caitlan speaking to camera.]
Caitlan: You go pretty fast. I thought they wouldn't go fast, but you can get some speed with them and it's pretty fun.
[More shots of the sailboats being brought into land. We see a close-up of a boat on the trailer, then the students and boats on the sand.]
Dave: Look, what I like about my job is seeing the enjoyment of students trying something that they've never tried before. Giving them access to something that, outside of the Victorian Sailing School, is not necessarily that accessible.
[We see a shot of Dave speaking to camera, then cut away to three students wearing hats and life jackets sailing a white sailboat.]
[The VSBA and Victoria State Government logos appear.]
[A black background appears with white text]
