About the project

We built a new integrated children’s centre at the Murnong Community Centre in Donnybrook.

It has 2 kindergarten rooms, 2 maternal and child health consulting rooms, and 2 multi-purpose rooms. It also offers a community hall and kitchen and other community services.

The service can offer kinder places to 66 children at a time. It may be able to enrol more local kids by spreading classes throughout the week.

The kinder is operated in conjunction with Murnong Kindergarten. For more information on enrolment visit Whittlesea Council's kindergarten application page.

Funding

This project received $6.75 million as part of the Building Blocks Partnership between the Victorian Government and Whittlesea City Council. The Victorian Government has provided up to $24.25 million to support 5 projects that will create up to 493 kindergarten places in the local government area.
