About the project
We upgraded and expanded Lincolnville Kindergarten.
We demolished the existing kindergarten to make way for a new 3-room kindergarten with 2 maternal and child health consulting suites. We built the new kinder using modular construction.
The service is able to offer kinder to 99 children at a time. It may be able to enrol more local kids by spreading classes throughout the week.
Funding
This project will be delivered by the Victorian School Building Authority as part of the Building Blocks Partnership between the Victorian Government and Moonee Valley City Council. The Victorian Government has provided up to $20.74 million to support 5 projects that will create up to 523 additional kindergarten places in the local government area.

About the project
We upgraded the bathroom. We added a changing bench, storage and sink. The upgrade improves accessibility and supports children with additional needs.
We also installed an accessible veranda and swing set. The playground is now more inclusive for children of all abilities.

In Round 1 of the 2021–22 Building Blocks Inclusion Grant, $75,200 was allocated to this project.
