About the project
We built a new primary school in Leneva. It opened in 2026, helping the growing local population get great education close to home.
The school is open for enrolments for students in Prep to Grade 6.
Fran Waterman was appointed as the first principal of the school.
The school was known by its interim name, Leneva (Frederic Street Road) Primary School, during planning and design. Kerribana Primary School was chosen as this new school’s name following community and Traditional Owner group consultation. Kerribana (pronounced kerri-puh-nuh) is a local language place name for the site of the new school.
For enrolment enquiries or to learn more about the school, please email kerribana.ps@education.vic.gov.au.
Facilities
The school has the following facilities:
- 2 double-storey buildings with:
- administration areas and a library
- learning neighbourhoods
- STEAM spaces
- a canteen
- performing arts spaces
- a makerspace
- a gymnasium with indoor multi-use court, toilets, change rooms and kitchenette
- a kindergarten
- outdoor hard courts.
Supported inclusion school
Kerribana Primary School is a supported inclusion school. Supported inclusion schools (SIS) are different to specialist schools. They are local schools that have facilities to provide extra support for students with a disability. Specialised facilities in these schools may include sensory areas, accessible play spaces and wider corridors.
