About the project

We built a new primary school in Craigieburn. It opened in 2026, helping the growing local population get great education close to home.

The school is open for enrolments for students in Prep to Grade 6.

Maria Marchionna was appointed the first principal of the school.

The school was known by its interim name, Mickleham South Primary School, during planning and design. Gamadji Primary School was chosen as this new school’s name following community and Traditional Owner group consultation. Gamadji (pronounced gah-mah-gee) is a Wurundjeri Woi wurrung language word meaning emerging creeks.
