About the project
We’re building an early learning and childcare centre in Churchill. We are working on confirming the best location for the centre.
Early Learning Victoria will run the centre. It will provide long day care, 3- and 4-Year-Old Kinder programs with space for up to 102 local children each day. The centre will have outdoor play areas, a maternal and child health consulting room and a carpark. It will also have a community room for meetings and playgroup.
Families in Latrobe City will be able to access more hours of 4-Year-Old Kinder from 2028, increasing from 15 hours to between 16 to 20 hours a week.
Visit the Early Learning Victoria website for more information about the government-owned and operated centres.
Funding
This project was funded as part of $3.8 billion allocated for early childhood infrastructure since the 2015–16 State Budget. It supports the delivery of the Victorian Government’s Best Start, Best Life reforms.
