About the project

We are partnering with Hume City Council to expand this centre.

We are converting a small outdoor area into a fourth kindergarten room so that 22 more local kids can attend kinder at a time.

The centre will be able to offer kinder to up to 120 children at a time. It may be able to enrol more kids by spreading sessions throughout the week.

This will help expand Victoria’s 2 years of free kindergarten, as part of our Best Start, Best Life reforms.

Funding

This project received $760,000 as part of the Building Blocks Partnership between the Victorian Government and Hume City Council. The Victorian Government has committed up to $7.4 million to support 5 projects in the City of Hume. These will create up to 280 kindergarten places in the local government area.
