Colac West Primary School

We are constructing a new main building for the school to give students and staff better learning and work spaces.

The new building will feature:

• contemporary classrooms
• upgraded technology
• a new cantee
• a centrally located first aid room
• temperature-controlled learning areas
• hearing loop technology
• improved disability access.

The new building will be on the eastern side of the school grounds, where the current shade sail and playground are. This will allow classes to continue as normal throughout the project.

Once construction works on the new building are complete, the original main wing will be demolished, and the area will be transformed into landscaped grounds that honour the school’s heritage through thoughtful design elements. The design will honour the history of the existing school, with brickwork and structural elements incorporated to reflect and pay respect to the original building.

We upgraded the staff and student bathrooms as well as staff facilities.
