About the project
We are building a 4-room kindergarten at the new Barayip Primary School.
It will open in 2025 and be able to offer kinder to 132 children at a time. It may be able to enrol more local kids by spreading classes throughout the week. This will help some families before and after school with drop-off and pick-up. It will also help some children make a smoother transition into primary school.
This kindergarten was previously known by the name of Riverdale North Primary School Kindergarten (interim name).

Funding
This project shares in $283 million provided in the 2019–20 State Budget for Three-Year-Old Kindergarten capital funding. Funding was allocated in Round 4 of the 2023 Building Blocks Capacity Grant stream.
