About the project
We upgraded and modernised Newport Lakes Primary School.
We demolished the southern teaching wing of Block A as the space had a considerable amount of asbestos and wasn't serving the needs of the school.
In its place, we constructed four new general purpose and teaching and learning spaces, student toilets, a music and multi-purpose hall and associated amenities.
Funding
In the 2016-17 State Budget, $3.04 million was allocated to the school.
