About the project
We're building a new primary school. It will open on day one of Term 1 in 2026, and have places for up to 525 students.
This school will help meet increasing enrolment demand from a growing local population. It will help local students get high-quality education close to home.
When open for Term 1, 2026 the school will include:
- 2 learning neighbourhoods
- an administration and library building
- outdoor hard courts
- a community hub with indoor multi-use court, canteen and arts/music spaces
- a sports field.
Enrolments for 2026 are open
The school is open for enrolments for students in Foundation (Prep) to Year 6.
You can find out if you're in the school zone by entering your address at findmyschool.vic.gov.au(opens in a new window) (select 2026 as the enrolment year).
For all enrolment enquiries, please email horseshoe.bend.ps@education.vic.gov.au. Learn more about enrolling in Foundation.
Have a say on your new school’s name
We are consulting on a name for Horseshoe Bend Primary School (interim name).
In our commitment to naming schools in First Nations languages, shortlisted names have been proposed by the Registered Aboriginal Party for the school’s local area.
The Department of Education will consider your feedback and preferences when deciding this school’s name.
Have a say by taking the survey on the Engage Victoria website. The survey closes at 5pm on Thursday 19 June 2025
