About the project
We built a new secondary college in Clyde North. It opened in 2025 and is helping the growing local population get great education close to home.
In its first year of operation, Wulerrp Secondary College is open to Year 7 students only. It will progress by year level thereafter.
Leanne Winfield was appointed as the first principal of the school.
The school was known by its interim name, Clyde North Secondary School, during planning and design. Wulerrp Secondary College was chosen as this new school’s name following community and Traditional Owner group consultation. Wulerrp (pronounced wool-erp) is a Bunurong word meaning tea tree.
For enrolment enquiries or to learn more about the school, please email wulerrp.sc@education.vic.gov.au.
Facilities
When the school opened in Term 1, 2025 facilities included:
- an administration and library building
- a learning neighbourhood
- a community hub
- 2 hard courts
- a car park
- relocatable buildings for art and science.
We are also finishing the STEAM building, southern carpark and remainder of the temporary sports field. We expect this will be ready for Term 3, 2025.
Funding
In the 2023–24 State Budget the school received a share of $573.178 million
