The Victorian Government made a commitment to deliver
100 new schools between 2019 and 2026. This includes Edenbrook Secondary College.
Edenbrook Secondary College was originally known by the interim name of Pakenham Henry Road Secondary School while it was being planned and built.
Johanna Walker has been appointed as the
first principal.
Enrolments are now open for Year 7 in 2021.

Intake of students in 2021 will be limited to Year 7 to ensure smooth transition into the new school community.

updated to show school zones for 2021. This includes the zone for Edenbrook Secondary College.

Staged Works
Edenbrook Secondary College is fully funded for stage 1, with additional stages to be funded in future budgets. Current funding allows for the following permanent buildings (which can cater for a maximum enrolment of 500 students):
- visual arts building
- a learning community
- science, technology, engineering and maths building
- two outdoor play courts
The school will be equipped with temporary administration facilities (housed within the visual arts building) that include reception, combined principal and vice principal office, sick bay and general staff office and staff room.
Future stages depend on additional funding via future State Budgets, and will allow for the construction of:
- an administration building
- a learning community
- performing arts and physical education building (with an indoor play court)
- sports field
- two outdoor play courts
At the completion of future stages, the buildings will cater for a maximum 1200 student enrolment.

School name
Edenbrook Secondary College was chosen as the school name following community consultation and discussions with Geographic Names Victoria, with consideration given to factors including public interest, relevance to the local area, and the consideration of local Indigenous languages.
The school is named after the nearby Edenbrook wetlands.
