About the project
We built a two-room interim kindergarten at Deanside Primary School.
This kindergarten opened in Term 1, 2022, ready for the statewide rollout of funded kinder for three-year-olds. There are places for both three and four-year-olds, ensuring a smoother transition between kindergarten and school for some families.
We delivered this interim kindergarten in partnership with the City of Melton. It will be in place until the council's permanent kinder is built on their site next door.
Registrations are open via the Melton City Council website.
Funding
In the 2019–20 State Budget, this project shared in the $283 million allocated over 4 years to deliver modular kindergarten facilities and a pipeline of kinders on school sites.
